DEATH OF MRS W. T. SALLEE

Mrs. Amelia Sallee, widow of Rev. W. T. Sallee, a well known minister of the Christian church, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Shores, at Lacon, Ill., Tuesday at the age of 68 years. The body passed through the city Wednesday on the Alton on its way to Vandalia and the funeral and burial took place at Mt. Olivet cemetery, the funeral being conducted by Rev. C. Allen Burrus. Mrs. Sallee was Miss Amelia Baxter and she was a sister of Mrs. J. W. Boyd and an aunt of W. A. Boyd of this city. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Orpha Shores, wife of J. W. Shores, formerly C. and A. operator at Vandalia. The family lived on Eleventh and Tennessee street in this city several years and also lived at Curryville.

Mr. and Mrs. Shores and their daughter, Mrs. Charles Reid, and the latter's son were here Wednesday on their way to Vandalia to attend the funeral
