Obituary- Edwin Harvey Price Fort Worth, TX. 

Edwin Harvey Price, 86, a retired air traffic control specialist for FAA and Eastern Airlines, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at his residence. Memorial service:10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, in Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. Burial: Luray, Va. Memorials: Community Hospice of TX, 6100 Western Place, Suite 500, Fort Worth, TX 76107.

Mr. Price was born Feb 2, 1916 in Louisiana, Mo. He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He was a World War II veteran in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1946. He worked for the FAA as an air traffic system supervisor for 27 years and was employed with Eastern airlines for 11 years as an air traffic control specialist. He held the title of chairman for the National Air Transport Association for two years. He was a member of Gambrell Street Baptist Church. His hobbies were golf, reading and bowling. Mr. Price was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. Price and Bertha Harelson Price. Survivors: Wife of 26 years, Rosemary Price of Fort Worth: son, William E. Price and wife Gayle, of Luray, Va; stepsons, John R. Lott, Jr. and wife Gertrud, of Swarthmore, Pa., and Peter Lyden and wife Sharon, of Fort Worth; stepdaughter, Marylou Benware and husband, Kenneth, of Weatherford, Tx.; brother Joseph Donald Price and wife Judy Price of Surprise, Az; sister-in-law., Mabel Price of Columbia, Mo; grandchildren, Sarah Price of Luray, Va., Maxim, Ryan, Roger, Sherwin and Dagny Lott of Swarthmore, Pa., Christy and Jimmy Parker of Weatherford, Tx., Kelby Benware of Grand Prairie, Tx., and Mark, Shane and Jonathon Lyden of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, in Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes in Fort Worth, Texas for Edwin Harvey Price, 86, with burial in Luray, Va. Mr. Price died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003 at his residence. He was born Feb. 2, 1916 in Louisiana to Joseph C. and Bertha Harelson Price. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Price of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, William E. Price and wife Gayle of Luray, Va.; two stepsons; a stepdaughter; a brother, Joseph Donald Price of Surprise, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
