Mrs. Nellie Moore

BOWLING GREEN, Mo. -- Services for Mrs. Nellie Hays Moore, 73, were held at 2 p.m. today from Kirks Chapel. The Rev. Joe Barbour officiated with burial in the New Hartford Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Bill Worrell, Wayne Young, Joe and Wiley Trower, Tom Hays and O'Neal Parsons.

Mrs. Moore died in Pike County Hospital at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

A daughter of the late Samuel B. and Bertha Bell Henderson, she was born Sept. 17, 1895 on a farm east of New Hartford. Mrs. Moore attended Hopke School, was a member of the Baptist Church and the Bowling Green Order of Eastern Star Lodge No. 457. She was married to Everett W. More who survives.

Also surviving is a son, Everett Wells of Arizona; 3 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Iza Bessie Parsons of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Ralph (Lorayne) Dellinger of Dodge City, Kan.; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mrs. Della Pritchett and 2 brothers, Bill and Glenn Hays.

BOWLING GREEN, Mo. -- Mrs. Nellie Hays Moore, 73, of New Hartford died Tuesday at 12:40 p.m. at the Pike County Hospital in Louisiana. The body was removed to Kirks Funeral Home in Bowling Green.

Mrs. Moore was the wife of Everett W. Moore of New Hartford.

 

 

Rites Today For Mrs. E. W. Moore

Funeral services for Mrs. Everett W. Moore were held at 2 p.m. today in Kirks Chapel at Bowling Green. The Rev. Joe Barbour officiated and burial was in the cemetery at New Hartford. Mrs. Moore died Tuesday at Pike County Hospital, having been admitted that morning. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Mrs. Nellie Moore was born Sept. 17, 1895, daughter of the late Sam B. and Bertha Belle Henderson Hays, on the Hays farm east of New Hartford. She attended Hopke Rural School. She was married to Everett W. Moore of New Hartford in March, 1917. They made their home on a farm in the New Hartford community except a few years spent in California. When they retired they moved into New Hartford.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the Baptist Church of New Hartford; Bowling Green Chapter 457, Order of Eastern Star; and was past president of Happy Homemakers Extension Club.

Surviving with the husband, Everett, is a son, Everett Wells Moore, Jr., of Phoenix, Ariz. and three grandchildren. Also two sisters; Mrs. Iza (Bessie) Parsons of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Ralph (Lorayne) Dellinger of Ft. Dodge, Kan.; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mrs. Della Pritchett; and two brothers, Glenn Hays, and Bill Hays, who died June 13.

Pallbearers were Wayne Young, Bill Worrell, Tom Hays, Joe and Wally Trower and Neal Parsons.

She was married to Everett Wells Moore Sr on 21 March 1917 in Bowling Green MO. They had one son, Everett Wells Moore Jr of Yavapai Co AZ and three grandchildren: Larry Everett Moore, Terri Evlyn Moore and William Curtis Moore.
